Sir Arthur Lasenby Liberty was the founder of Liberty and Co. in Regent Street, London, and much can be read about him online.

He recognised Knox's genius and thus made him the head designer for the Liberty and Co.  "Cymric" and "Tudric" ranges.

Upon Arthur Lasenby Liberty's death in 1917 Knox was the person who designed the gravestone for this great man even though Liberty knew every great designer in the world.
