Cufflinks 1

An extremely fine, rare silver and enamel pair of cufflinks designed by Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co. These started life as buttons but were converted to cufflinks many, many years ago. I believe they suit their role as cufflinks and they are in superb condition.

The enamels are exquisite with varieties of blues, greens, yellows and oranges.

Please see Stephen Martin's book page 272 for the design.

The word "CYMRIC" is on the back denoting Liberty & Co. silver.

However, what really lifts these above the norm is the fact that the Liberty mark is the rare "LC & C Ld" which, according to the text books, was only used in 1903.

The hallmarks for these are for 1902 which makes them very special indeed.
