ARCHIBALD KNOX

A wonderful, rare gold and turquoise brooch for Liberty & Co. c1903.

This piece shows off Knox's delicate form and exquisite use of a gemstone within his overall design of jewellery.

The small chain and safety pin were extra security measures taken by the owner in order that this wonderful example should not be lost.

The design can be seen in Liberty Jewellery sketch-book, page 7,  model number 1316.

This is the first time this brooch has been shown on the internet (excluding Facebook) and it will be included in Dr. Stephen A Martin's new book on Archibald Knox.
