Description: This pewter J.D. Looney memorial medallion was designed by Archibald Knox and presented to those who have conducted successive Manx choirs. It is engraved: "Presented to Mrs Violet Axford L.R.A.M. A.R.C.M." Violet Axford (nee Violet Harvey) was a well known singer and musical performer on the Isle of Man in the years prior to and after the First World War. The medal was presented to Mrs Axford in May 1937.
