The National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa held an exhibition of 80 watercolours by Archibald Knox from 03 to 28 March 1926.
The story goes that one person wanted to buy all the watercolours and when Knox heard of it he was not happy (Presumably because they are of the Isle of Man and for the Isle of Man) and had them shipped back to the Island.
Below is the 4 page catalogue which was kindly supplied by The National Gallery of Canada. Unfortunately there were no images of the actual pictures on record.
Some of the titles of the paintings have incorrect spelling and perhaps this was due to the Manx names being unfamiliar to the curator (quite understandably).
