A lovely example of a Liberty Cymric silver brooch by Archibald Knox, set with a garnet. This rare design will appear in Dr Stephen Martin’s forthcoming 3rd edition of his book ”Archibald Knox”. The brooch is model 1204 in the Liberty Jewellery Sketch book held at the Westminster Archive.
This very Celtic example of Knox’s work is in excellent antique condition. The brooch is marked for Liberty & Co with the rare quatrefoil mark used mainly in 1903. Image from Liberty catalogue also attached.
