A rare silver buckle designed by Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co’s Cymric range. It appears in Dr Stephen Martin’s book “Archibald Knox”, second edition, page 270.

Archibald Knox (British 1864-1933) for Liberty & Co, a ‘Cymric’ silver buckle with inset enamel, Mark of Liberty & Co, ‘Cymric’, Birmingham hallmarks 1901, Fashioned in one piece and inset with two enamelled leaf motifs and embellished with openwork sinuous tendrils, with a hammered finish, 6.1 cm high, 4 cm wide

A rare silver and enamel buckle designed by Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co’s Cymric range.  It appears in Dr Stephen Martin’s book “Archibald Knox”, second edition, page 270.  This variant has two enamel “tears” to the front in green and yellow.   In excellent original condition.
