This is the "Siegfried" pot and pedestal

terracotta stoneware, of octagonal form, decorated to rim with a stylised band of celtic knots, raised on similarly decorated octagonal plinth bases

diameter 80cm, height 56cm; impressed mark 'DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED BY LIBERTY & CO.' and reg.d no.422733 (2)

Bought from Liberty by Mrs Chenevix -Trench, Rowchester House, Greenlaw and positioned either side of the front door.

Purchased by the vendor's father at the Rowchester House Sale in the 1950's and have since remained in Berwickshire.
