A very good and useful silver photo frame by Archibald Knox, for Liberty & Co’s Cymric range. The frame is embossed with six classic Knox art nouveau triskelion roundels highlighted with classic blue green Liberty enamels. The frame is attached to an oak board with six copper pins in the arts and crafts style

The frame appears in the Liberty Silver Sketch Book, Westminster City Archives, London, n.d., p. 276, no. 5292 (with a variant decoration). This design was also published in Victor Arwas, Liberty Style, Tokyo, 1983, p. 117, no. S.18 and in Stephen A. Martin, Archibald Knox, London, 2001, pp. 230 and 231 (for related examples).
