In 1898 THE ANTIQUARY magazine published an illustrated article by Archibald Knox on "Old Kirk Lonan, Isle of Man."

It is wonderful to stand where Knox positioned himself at different places around the church and pick out all the features that he picked out all that time ago.

Whilst you are at Old Lonan Church also look at the old crosses in the grounds and especially the very old wheel cross from the 5th Century.

Inside the church are pamphlets and booklets that will tell you more about the church and also about Canon John Quine who was a life long friend of Archibald Knox.
