Watercolour 10

Littlehampton

Date made: 1884-1933

Artist: Knox, Archibald

Description: A colourful and detailed watercolour by Archibald Knox (1864-1933) of a vessel tied up at the harbourside. Whilst most of Knox's watercolours provide fleeting impressions and very little detail, this painting provides a relatively detailed record of the vessel, together with a windmill in the background. Although most of his watercolour sketches are untitled and unidentified views of the Manx and English landscape, this has been identified as having been painted by Knox when he was at Littlehampton in Sussex, England.

Measurements: unframed artwork: 44.5 cm x 49 cm
