Description: A stark and minimalist watercolour by Archibald Knox (1864-1933) of a cloudless blue sky over a distant dark hillside. The distinctive style of the painting and the use of blocks of colour is very similar to the style of artwork by the later Manx artist, Norman Sayle (1926-2007), in particular a work such as 'Bracken Mountain'.
