Below are a two handled bowl and milk jug from this model.
Two handled bowl
A very special Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co silver two handled bowl set with Swiss lapis stones. The bowl is pierced to create a strong Celtic design. The only other known example of this bowl forms part of a magnificent tea and coffee set on display in the Victoria and Albert Museum, British Galleries ref M.8:1 to 5-2004.
The bowl is of a very heavy gauge of silver, and overall its quality of manufacture suggests it would have been a special order from Liberty.
An example, without piercing, can be seen on page 199 (held by the Manx Museum, Douglas) of Steve Martin’s book on Knox.
