This is Page 53 of the bound volume of The Deer's Cry at the Manx Museum.
Another unfinished page. There is no lettering but, when completed it may have been "Christ above me"? As was said yesterday, It is fascinating to see how Knox drew the outline of one of his pages with a free-flowing swirling ease. He would then have to finalise the drawing, choose the colour scheme, and execute the picture. Nobody knows how many times Knox had to go through this process until he was happy with the final product for each page.
The words in the above paragraph are just my personal and subjective thoughts. Knox must have had so many ideas and thoughts behind this page and the other pages which, perhaps, we will never know
.
The Archibald Knox Forum would like to hear your thoughts, ideas and comments on any of the pages from The Deer's Cry.
