Watercolour 27

Two sailing vessels at anchor

Date made: 1884-1933

Artist: Knox, Archibald

Description: A relatively minimalist and almost monochrome watercolour by Archibald Knox (1864-1933) of a group of rigged sailing vessels 'at anchor'. The view may be a Manx coastal scene or possibly a view of vessels on the south eastern English coast. The painting appears to have been signed 'A.Knox' but the other writing, possibly the title of the work, is now illegible.

Measurements: unframed artwork: 43 cm x 56.5 cm

Materials: watercolour on paper
