Description: A dramatic and atmospheric watercolour by Archibald Knox (1864-1933) of a track leading out of a quarry, with two whitewashed cottages in the distance. The distinctive style of the painting and the use of blocks of colour is very similar to the style of artwork by the later Manx artist, Norman Sayle (1926-2007).
